Mrs Jones’s Shout Out

Kia ora koutou,

What an incredible term we have had! It has been a time filled with extensive learning, exhilarating sports, and enriching extension activities. Watching our students succeed both in and out of the classroom has been truly wonderful. With half of the school year now behind us, we eagerly look forward to Terms 3 and 4, confident that there is so much more to come. This week was slightly bitter sweet for our staff as we farewelled our wonderful Grounds Assistant Gregg Hyde, after 14 years service at Mokoia. He will be so greatly missed from around our Kura and we wish him all the best.

As we enter Term 3, we begin the exciting process of welcoming Year 6 students to explore Mokoia and experience what makes our school special. Additionally, our Year 8 students will be visiting local high schools to consider where their educational journeys will continue. It’s a significant time for our ākonga, and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way.

We have a huge term ahead and encourage whānau to stay engaged with their child’s learning profile to celebrate all their learning successes.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff for their unbelievable hard work this term. We hope they enjoy this non-contact time with their own whānau, recharging for the next term ahead.

To our ākonga, we wish you a restful and enjoyable holiday break. Take this time to rest, relax, and refuel. We look forward to seeing you ready for another term of learning on the 22nd of July.

Ngā mihi nui
