Kia ora Mokoia whānau,
As we move towards the end of Term 3, we can feel the warmth of the sun returning, and it’s great to see the weather improving. It reminds us that summer is just around the corner!
This week, there is an important message in the newsletter regarding the $80 technology fee. We kindly ask all parents and caregivers to take a moment to read this. The fee helps our kura cover the cost of the materials students use in their technology projects. Whether it’s hard Materials, Art, or Food Technology, these resources are essential for everything our students create and learn in this vital part of the curriculum. Your support in paying this fee ensures we can continue to provide quality hands-on experiences.
From this Saturday, 98 of our Mokoia Intermediate students will officially begin their AIMS competitions. A lot of time, effort, fundraising, and hard work has gone into preparing for this moment. We’re thrilled to send over a quarter of our school to represent us in a wide range of sports. We couldn’t be prouder of all our students who are competing, and we wish them the absolute best of luck.
I also want to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to all the people behind the scenes who have helped get our students to this point. To the coaches and managers who have given countless hours to organising and training, the parents who baked for fundraisers, transported students to practices, and supported them at every step – your efforts are deeply appreciated.
Lastly, a massive thank you to Mr. Upston, our Sports Coordinator, for your incredible work in organising our AIMS entrants. The logistics of preparing so many students for this event is no small job, and you’ve done an exceptional job ensuring no sport is missed. Your dedication to our students success shines through in the hard work you have put into organising all of this.
