Mrs Jones’s Shout Out

Kia ora koutou,

What an exciting week it has been here at Mokoia Intermediate! This week, we were thrilled to host our first Open Day, where we welcomed Year 6 students from Lynmore Primary. It was wonderful to see these young ākonga exploring our school, engaging with our student leaders in fun games, and getting a taste of the various Technology options we offer. It is so rewarding to provide them with a glimpse into life at Mokoia
Intermediate and help them envision what it would be like to join us as Year 7s next year.

We also held our “Shave for a Cure” event this week in support of the Cancer Foundation. Every year, I am reminded of how amazing and supportive our ākonga and their whānau are, but witnessing their participation and enthusiasm always warms my heart. Thank you all for your incredible support of our kura and these important causes.

Looking ahead, next week promises to be a busy one for our ākonga. We have Fluro Golf on Monday, another Open Day on Wednesday, the MIGS competition and RBHS production on Thursday, and the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge on Friday. I am so proud that we continue to offer such a wide range of wonderful opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and have fun.

I hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Ngā mihi nui
