Matua Rawiri’s Shout Out

Kia ora parents, caregivers, and whānau,

Another week of the term is behind us, and it seems the pace is only picking up! Between now and the end of the term, there is something happening every day, keeping our students actively engaged and working towards some exciting goals.

One of the biggest highlights on the horizon is our annual school prom, which we are thrilled to announce will take place on Tuesday, December 10th. This event is a special way to celebrate the end of the school year, and it promises to be a magical evening filled with fun, laughter, and dance.

Prom is a formal event, and students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of ballroom and latin dances. To make sure everyone feels confident and prepared, we are incorporating dance lessons into our learning centres. Additionally, there will be extra lunchtime sessions for those wanting a little more practice. These lessons will ensure all students are ready to enjoy the evening with confidence.

Please note that participation in the weekly dance lessons is mandatory for attendance at prom. Unfortunately, students who choose not to take part in the dance preparation will not be able to attend the prom this year.

We are looking forward to creating lifelong memories with this celebration, and we’re confident it will be a night to remember. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate tor contact the school.

In the meantime, enjoy the long weekend with your whānau, and we’ll see the students back on Tuesday!

Ngā mihi nui
